During the 2025 holiday season, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) proudly brought joy, connection, and meaningful moments to children through our Holidays with Heroes event series. Hosted through our Police Youth Alliance program, these events were designed to celebrate the holidays while strengthening the bonds between children and the officers who serve their communities every day.
Across multiple locations, Holidays with Heroes created safe, joyful spaces where kids and officers could come together not just in uniform, but in unity.
An Evening of Cheer at Drexel University
Earlier in the season, FBBCF, through the Police Youth Alliance program, was proud to sponsor Holidays with Heroes at Drexel University. Officers from Drexel Police Department and Public Safety joined children to help wrap gifts selected from each child’s wish list.
The room was filled with Christmas carols, laughter, and holiday cheer as kids and officers worked side by side. The evening ended on a high note with a pizza party, turning a simple act of giving into an unforgettable shared experience.
Holiday Fun in Radnor Township
Holiday cheer was also in full swing in Radnor Township, where FBBCF partnered with the Radnor Township Police Department to host another memorable Holidays with Heroes event. The night kicked off with a lively game of red light, green light before transitioning into gift wrapping and time spent together.
The celebration concluded with a pizza party, made possible by the generous donation from Campus Corner, and supported by the continued generosity of The Cohen Family Foundation, whose unwavering commitment helps make these events possible year after year.
A Special Morning with Upper Darby Police Department
Our Holidays with Heroes series concluded with a heartwarming morning alongside the Upper Darby Police Department. Children enjoyed a special shopping experience at Burlington Coat Factory, where they selected gifts for themselves as well as thoughtful presents for their loved ones.
The store was filled with excitement, smiles, and teamwork as officers helped children search for the perfect gifts. Following the shopping trip, everyone gathered to wrap presents, share treats, and spend meaningful time together — a beautiful reflection of the holiday spirit and the strong connection between officers and the children they serve.
